TECHNICAL NOTES FROM MINITEC

- Other engines may work, but have not yet been 100% verified.
- Honda J Engine wiring harness is specifically for the engines listed above. ( Should Be Included with your engine you source )
- Aftermarket programmable ECU such as AEM series 2 plug & play Engine management System.
- Note : A stock ECU from the engines listed above will work with this setup, but will have performance limitations.
- An intake modification is required to gain hood clearance. instruction and pictures are supplied with the kit.

- I have ordered my motor from JDM Orlando since I am based in Florida. You can order your motor from whatever location you like or feel comfortable with.
​
- The motor I decided to go with is the J35A4 02-04 Honda Odyssey.
LETS GET STARTED
This guide will just describe the swap install. I will not be covering how to tear into your car, or how to uninstall the motor. Maybe in a later thread for the forum but nothing right now. I will be showing a step by step FOR THE J SWAP KIT ONLY and try to be as informative as I can.
I ASSUME NO RESPONSIBLILTY FOR YOUR MISTAKES FOLLOW AND USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Motor / Engine bay being prepped.
- So this kit, is going to retain the stock transmission and the stock differential.
​
- I recommend changing all your fluids once these parts are removed from the car.
​
- Also try and replace bushings and hardware as you see fit. A lot of these parts will be removed from the car so it will be a perfect time to do it while the car is down.
